Senior Uncrewed Maritime Systems (UMS) Operations & Maintenance Manager
Strategos Consulting LLC – Naval Base Ventura County, California Strategos Consulting is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), which identifies and provides usable solutions (consulting, services, training, and engineering) to the US Government and its partners. Strategos is comprised of professional training and educational specialists that collectively bring over 120 years of experience. In 2009, we created Strategos Training and Services, a professional training company focused on providing services, education, and training to United States military personnel. Strategos Training and Services specializes in non-personal support services, professional instruction, training analysis, training plan development, and curriculum development.
Strategos is seeking a Senior Uncrewed Maritime Systems (UMS) Operations & Maintenance Manager in pursuit of a government contract.
Performance Location: Stennis Space Center, MS
Program Conditions: The program supports a fleet of 10+ operational UMS platforms and operates under a structured duty rotation during active operations. Outside scheduled test events, the position follows a standard 40-hour work week. The effort is part of a multi-year funded Navy program and is supported by a team-based maintenance environment that includes technicians and engineering reach-back support.
Position Specific Tasks: • Serve as technical readiness authority for assigned UMS platforms
• Perform hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair
• Build and manage preventive maintenance and inspection programs
• Diagnose propulsion, electrical, power, and communications faults
• Support launch/recovery and underway operations during test periods
• Investigate failures and determine root cause
• Provide go/no-go recommendations and risk assessments to government leads
• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and configuration records Required Qualifications:
• Active SECRET clearance
• 8+ years maintaining complex mechanical or electro-mechanical systems
• Experience making and documenting go/no-go maintenance decisions under schedule pressure
• Strong documentation discipline and attention to detail
• Ability to work full-time on-site at Naval Base Ventura County
