Position Summary
Meritus Solutions Group is seeking a detail-oriented Security Badging Clerk to support Pass and ID operations at Naval Base Kitsap (NBK).
The Security Badging Clerk plays a critical role in maintaining installation security by processing credentials, issuing badges and passes, maintaining access control records, and supporting security clearance and identification processes.
This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong customer service skills, professionalism, confidentiality, and the ability to work within a highly regulated federal security environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide Pass and ID services in support of Naval Base Kitsap security operations
  • Verify identity documentation and eligibility requirements for badge issuance
  • Process and issue permanent badges in accordance with federal, Navy, and local security requirements
  • Prepare and issue Military Limited Area (MLA) badges to authorized personnel
  • Issue visitor passes and temporary access credentials
  • Perform fingerprinting services for security clearances, passport applications, and identification requirements
  • Enter and maintain badge coding information within government-furnished Access Control Systems
  • Manage and maintain badge issuance, fingerprinting, and access records databases
  • Safeguard sensitive identification documents and Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
  • Ensure only authorized personnel and vehicles receive installation access credentials
  • Maintain accurate records, logs, and documentation
  • Provide professional customer service to military personnel, contractors, visitors, and government personnel
  • Maintain confidentiality and operational security at all times
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by contract leadership
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must:
  • Be a U.S. Citizen
  • Possess and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
  • Be at least 21 years of age, or be an honorably discharged veteran
  • Successfully pass:
    • Background investigation
    • Drug screening
    • Any required follow-up testing
  • Possess a valid Driver's License
  • Have 20/20 correctable vision in each eye
  • Be able to distinguish basic colors and hear conversational speech clearly
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Be proficient with computers, databases, and data entry systems
  • Be capable of exercising sound judgment and maintaining confidentiality
  • Be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Be willing and able to work mission-essential assignments during varying operational conditions, including nights, weekends, holidays, adverse weather, and elevated Force Protection Conditions
Education Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Diploma must be from an institution accredited by the U.S. Department of Education
