Job Description

Oversee the production operators.  Ensure that manufacturing process remains a smooth and efficient process by monitoring machine operators.  THIS IS A WORKING TEAM LEAD ROLE. 

Essential Functions:

  • Setup and operate CNC and manual equipment when applicable.
  • Read and comprehend blueprints in accordance with GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) standards.
  • Responsible for daily / hourly production scheduling and workflow schedules.
  • Identifies issues in efficiencies and suggest improvements.
  • Review operator's equipment to ensure it is safe to use. 
  • Partners with Manufacturing Supervisor in determining work production schedules
  • Enforce all safety/PPE rules. 
  • Check finished products to ensure quality, and that industry standards are met before they are declared ready for use.
  • Complete first piece inspections
  • Accurately complete applicable job travelers and inspection reports.
  • Set up and perform secondary operations such as milling, drilling and deburring.
  • Motivate workers to enhance production quantity and at the same time maintain high production standards
  • Other duties as required, necessary
Qualifications

Education:     High School diploma or equivalent

Experience:   Two to three years manufacturing operations

Knowledge of

  • Manufacturing tools and machines (lathes, mills and grinders)
  • Solid understanding and ability to read blueprints
  • Microsoft office products

  • Basic to Intermediate math
