Responsibilities and Duties: 

  • Provide meal preparation, light-housekeeping, and provide companionship and personal care.
  • Happier Aging is at the heart of what we do – enabling seniors to live at home as long as possible, doing what they love to do.
  • Execute on the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer.
  • Help clients with their ADL’s (Activities and Daily Living) as outlined by the Care Designer.
  • Assist clients with transfers, ambulation and exercises.
  • Meet the safety needs to the client and use equipment safely and properly.
  • Function within the limits of your own experience and knowledge while practicing safely and properly.
  • Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly using an online app

Requirements: 

  • Able to work multiple shifts of 2 - 8 hours per shift daily, and in at least TWO OF THE FOLLOWING CITIES: COQUITLAM, PORT COQUITLAM, PITT MEADOWS, MAPLE RIDGE OR MISSION.
  • 6 Months full time caregiving experience (or equivalent)
  • Internationally Educated Nurses with personal care experience are welcome to apply.
  • Ability to identify and report client care concerns to Care Designers when needed.
  • Must be fluent in both verbal and written English. Other languages will be an asset.
  • Background or Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Search within the last 12 months (updated every 5 years for continued employment)
  • Negative TB test within the last 2 years (updated every 5 years for continued employment)
  • Reliable vehicle and class 5 driver’s license strongly preferred, must be willing to drive clients when needed (kilometers are reimbursed when driving a client)
  • Double Covid-19 vaccination required.
  • 2 professional references
  • Current CPR/ First Aid certificate
