Job description

Data Entry Clerk

We need warehouse professionals to work at one of our client's warehouse in Memphis, TN. Essential job functions include performing all order fulfillment and warehouse functions such as shipping, receiving, stocking, storing, and inventory of materials to ensure that company warehousing needs are met. Follows and/or adheres to shipping requirements and specifications such as government regulations regarding mode of shipment or other specifications.

Receives material and verifies count against documents to ensure that all materials are received according to agreed upon quantities. Processes requests for items, pulls and assembles kits for shipping, prepares and packs items for shipment to ensure that all items are addressed and shipped to appropriate locations. Assists in loading and unloading shipments and ensures that all items are cataloged and then placed in appropriate locations in the warehouse. Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel. Contacts business unit personnel, courier services, vendors, and other relevant parties to ensure accurate delivery and pick-up of all shipment. Enters data into transportation software and ensures transactions are recorded accurately. Communicates with management regarding the status of equipment and supply manifests. Monitors and responds to concerns from various parties regarding service needs.

Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Four or more years of experience in warehousing
  • Experience working with shipping and receiving policies
  • Experience working with domestic and international shipping/freight regulations and procedures
  • Experience working with logistical operations
Other Qualifications
  • Communication skills to communicate with business unit personnel, staff, and management
  • Leadership skills to guide and mentor the work of less experienced personnel
  • Interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members
  • Ability to lift and move shipments and equipment
  • Ability to operate hand truck, forklift, or other mechanized material handling equipment
