Responsibilities
What You'll Be Doing
As a Warehouse Associate I, you'll help ensure the right materials are in the right place at the right time. Your work directly supports our field crews, construction projects, and overall operations.
⚡ Support Line Construction Operations
You'll play a key role in keeping our crews equipped and ready to serve our members by:
  • Gathering, issuing, and retrieving materials and supplies for line construction projects
  • Verifying quantities, weights, and accuracy of incoming materials and supplies
  • Delivering materials and equipment to departments and field crews
  • Returning reusable materials and supplies back into inventory for future use
  • Properly disposing of scrap materials and surplus supplies
Manage Inventory & Documentation
Attention to detail is essential as you:
  • Process packing slips, material issue forms, and return documentation
  • Maintain records for inspections of line hoses and rubber gloves
  • Record and track materials returned by field crews
  • Maintain documentation for hand tools and emergency equipment
  • Use scanners and warehouse technology to issue, credit, audit, and requisition materials
Keep the Warehouse Running Efficiently
Help create a safe, organized, and secure warehouse environment by:
  • Maintaining clean, orderly storage facilities and work areas
  • Monitoring inventory levels and notifying the Warehouse Supervisor when stock is too high or too low
  • Ensuring proper authorization is obtained before issuing materials and supplies
  • Participating in inventory audits and cycle counts
  • Operating forklifts, motorized warehouse equipment, and other material-handling equipment
  • Providing physical security and accountability for warehouse materials and supplies

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
High School or equivalent.
Minimum of six months experience in warehouse operations, stockroom, or inventory control in a construction or utility environment.
Working knowledge of line construction materials and corporate policies and procedures
Basic mathematics, reading skills and writing
SKILLS:
Proficient in operating forklift, and other heavy equipment
Proficient with bar coding equipment
Proficient with hand tools and saws
Ability to work with minimal supervision and at a fast pace
Possess valid Georgia driver's license
PREFERRED:
Knowledge of electrical materials and tool
