Job description

Paid Training – Streaming Experience Not Required

At Cancelled Breaks, we provide comprehensive, paid in-house training to ensure our streamers are set up for success. Previous live-streaming experience is not required.

Training includes:

  • Live Streaming Basics: Guidance on using our streaming platforms, including setup, troubleshooting, stream flow, and best practices.
  • Product Knowledge: In-depth training on our TCG and collectible products to help you confidently discuss products, characters, franchises, rarity, and other details with viewers.
  • Customer Engagement: Techniques for interacting with viewers, creating excitement, building community relationships, and handling common customer questions or concerns.
  • Sales Strategies: Tips and techniques for promoting products, upselling, creating excitement around breaks, and increasing overall sales during streams.
  • Company Policies & Brand Standards: An overview of Cancelled Breaks' brand values, guidelines, and expectations for professionalism, consistency, and customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Host energetic and entertaining live streams showcasing pop culture trading cards, card breaks, TCG products, and collectibles.
  • Engage with viewers, answer questions, and create a fun, welcoming, and highly interactive atmosphere.
  • Showcase products featuring popular franchises such as Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, SpongeBob, and other pop culture properties.
  • Effectively promote and sell products during live streams, identify upselling opportunities, and drive customer engagement.
  • Monitor live chat while streaming and communicate effectively with viewers to build relationships and develop a loyal community.
  • Learn and confidently communicate product details, characters, franchises, card variations, rarity, and other relevant information.
  • Maintain a consistent streaming schedule and meet established production and performance goals.
  • Provide excellent customer service and represent the Cancelled Breaks brand professionally and enthusiastically.
  • Assist with pre-shipping tasks, including preparing, packaging, and labeling customer orders.
  • Assist with card sorting and organization following live streams to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with other streamers, trainers, and team members in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of pop culture franchises and characters, particularly Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, SpongeBob, and/or similar properties.
  • Knowledge or interest in trading cards, TCG products, collectibles, or the collectibles hobby strongly preferred.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age due to the duties and scheduling requirements of the position.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and a comfortable, engaging personality.
  • Ability to interact naturally with an audience and maintain energy throughout a live stream.
  • Sales, customer service, entertainment, content creation, or live-streaming experience is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to multitask, including presenting products, monitoring chat, communicating with viewers, and managing the flow of a live stream.
  • Basic technology skills
  • Enthusiastic, positive attitude with a passion for engaging with others.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of accountability.
  • Must be able to work onsite a minimum of five shifts per week. This is not a remote position.
  • Must have open availability for morning and evening shifts, as well as availability throughout the week. During the training period, candidates will have both AM and PM training shifts.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a criminal background check in accordance with applicable law.
