Non-Destructive Testing experience required.

What You'll Do as a Certified Weld Inspector

  • Oversee fabrication and inspection results and provide process verification for drawing & code requirements, documenting, in detail, the results and daily progress for a variety of Department of Transportation projects.
  • Prepare accurate, timely, detailed inspection reports and documentation using standardized reporting procedures and submit detailed expense reports.
  • Promote a safe work environment by following safety protocols, identifying potential hazards, and properly using personal protective equipment.
  • Maintain your certifications and stay current with evolving industry codes, standards, technologies, and inspection best practices.
  • Care for inspection equipment by ensuring it is properly maintained, calibrated, and ready for field use.
  • Collaborate with customers and fellow certified inspectors to deliver exceptional service, share knowledge, and support successful project outcomes.
  • Travel to customer facilities across the country to perform inspections, complete reports, and represent IntegriTesting with professionalism and integrity.


Our Ideal Certified Weld Inspector

  • Technical Expertise: Hold a current AWS Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) certification and maintain or qualify for Level II certification(s) in Liquid Penetrant (PT), Magnetic Particle (MT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), and/or Visual Testing (VT).
  • Industry Experience: Bring at least five years of bridge construction experience with a strong working knowledge of AWS D1.1 and D1.5 welding codes.
  • Professionalism: Provide accurate oversight and documentation, consistently adhere to established procedures, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Independent Initiative: Stay focused while working independently, proactively identify issues, and adapt to changing project requirements and customer needs.
