Are you an organized, detailoriented professional who thrives in a fastpaced environment? The College of Western Idaho (CWI) is seeking a parttime Administrative Assistant II to provide administrative, operational, and customer service support while managing confidential information, coordinating projects, and supporting key academic initiatives.
In this role, you'll serve as a vital resource for students, faculty, staff, and community stakeholders while helping ensure the efficient operation of the department through exceptional organization, communication, and administrative support.

Administrative Operations & Office Support:- Coordinate administrative office functions, projects, and daily operations
- Maintain records, files, correspondence, and other confidential documentation
- Order, track, and manage office materials and supplies as needed
- Operate office equipment and support efficient office workflows
- Manage incoming mail distribution and related administrative processes
- Serve as a point of contact for executives, government agencies, campus organizations, students, and the general public
- Provide accurate and timely information by phone, email, and in person
- Schedule appointments, greet visitors, and assist walkin customers
- Deliver exceptional customer service in a busy office environment with competing priorities
- Handle sensitive, confidential, and occasionally politically sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion
- Support the delivery of CWI's Open Educational Resources (OER) and zdegree initiatives, including course marking activities
- Support departmental use of the Learning Management System (LMS) for communication, information sharing, and record management
- Research questions, gather information, and apply institutional policies and procedures appropriately
- Assist with special projects and departmental initiatives as assigned
- Compose, edit, and prepare correspondence, reports, research materials, and other professional documents
- Ensure accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality in written communications
- Maintain effective communication with faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders
- May assist with coordinating and monitoring Work Study students
- Support committees, meetings, and departmental activities
- Contribute to a collaborative and positive workplace culture
- Convey by words and actions the values expected by CWI
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Parttime position
- May work up to 19.5 hours per week
- Requires the ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Three (3) years of administrative support experience
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications and educational technology tools
- Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a hightraffic, fastpaced environment
- Excellent computer skills and attention to detail
- Dependable, flexible, and adaptable to changing needs
Most positions at CWI are in-person and based on campus. While some roles may allow up to two remote workdays per week, eligibility for remote work is determined on a case-by-case basis at the hiring manager's discretion. All candidates must reside within, or be willing to relocate to, a reasonable commuting distance from CWI. Employment visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
