Part-Time - Support Staff

POSITION SUMMARY:

To teach children basic principles of water safety, provide appropriate

instruction for age and skill level and ensure safety of participants.
ย 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide a safe and positive environment for students.
  • Provide proper instruction and positive feedback to students and parents.
  • Complete swim lessons reports and certificates on time.
  • Enforce facility policies, rules and regulations.
  • Report any unsafe conditions or equipment problems to immediate supervisor.
  • Dress professionally.
  • Be courteous to patrons and staff.
  • Participate in regular in-service training sessions.
  • Assist in cleaning of facility.
  • Possess positive attitude.
  • Maintain reliable attendance.
  • Assist in the event of an emergency.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:

  • Maintain emotional control under stress.
  • Moderate standing, stooping, bending and lifting.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum age 15 & possess a Valid State Issued ID or DL/Permit

W.S.I. preferred but not required. Must be CPR/AED and First Aid Certified

and works well with children and parents. Will be required to be

fingerprinted at applicant's expense.
