Job description

Astro Pak is the nation's leading precision cleaning and passivation contractor specializing in on-site cleaning of high purity gas and fluid systems, as well as precision cleaning of components and hardware at the company's Cleanroom facilities. Astro Pak provides services to over 15 sectors including: Data Centers, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Aerospace, Semiconductor, and other selected Industrial markets. The company, founded in 1959, has performed on-site precision chemical cleaning in every State of the Union as well as several projects in Asia, Canada, continental Europe, England, Ireland and Mexico.
The Facility & Equipment Technician supports the Site Manager by performing day-to-day facility, equipment, inventory, and logistics activities at an Astro Pak field site. This hands-on role helps ensure equipment readiness, safe operations, and efficient support for field project teams nationwide.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe facility, shop, and equipment staging areas
  • Perform basic maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs on field equipment and tools
  • Receive, store, stage, and dispatch equipment, materials, and chemicals for field projects
  • Track inventory, restock supplies, and support reorder needs
  • Load and unload equipment; inspect returned items and identify repair or calibration needs
  • Follow all safety, PPE, and chemical handling requirements
  • Support the Site Manager with documentation, logs, and operational tasks
  • Collaborate with Operations and field teams to ensure project readiness
  • Occasional overtime or weekend work as needed, some overnight travel included

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade training preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, warehouse operations, logistics, or equipment handling
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and basic mechanical systems
  • Ability to follow procedures and complete basic documentation
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and inventory tracking systems)
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and reach for extended periods
  • Regular lifting up to 50 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 100 lbs. with assistance
  • Ability to work indoors, outdoors, and around industrial equipment

Working Conditions
  • Shop, warehouse, and outdoor yard environment
  • Exposure to chemicals, noise, vibration, and temperature changes
