The ideal candidate is someone with not only a keen eye for detail but passion for this ever-growing industry. You must also be able to adapt, and problem solve to help fit Manufacturing needs.
Responsibilities:
  • The Maintenance Manager will be a vital part of our operations, focusing on maintaining the facility's infrastructure and equipment through a comprehensive preventive maintenance program. With a hands-on approach, you will manage daily maintenance tasks at two facilities, address immediate issues, and ensure the facility supports optimal growing conditions. A champion of biosecurity and safety, you will also implement and enforce safety and security measures.
  • Preventive Maintenance Management: Adjust and execute a detailed preventive maintenance strategy to minimize downtime and ensure the reliability of all facility systems and equipment. Regularly schedule inspections, servicing, and repairs to prevent equipment failures and extend asset lifespan.
  • Hands-On Maintenance: Employ a boots-on-the-ground approach to promptly address maintenance needs. Troubleshoot and repair a range of equipment and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • HVAC Expertise (Bonus): Utilize HVAC skills to maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, essential for maintaining the controlled environment of the grow facility. Ensure systems are operating efficiently to support optimal plant growth.
  • Biosecurity Champion: Uphold stringent biosecurity protocols to prevent contamination and ensure a clean and safe growing environment. Regularly audit and update biosecurity measures to align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Safety Oversight: Promote and enforce safety protocols throughout the facility. Conduct safety training, ensure compliance with safety standards, and address any safety hazards promptly to protect staff and facility assets.
  • Knowledge of Growing Processes: Apply your understanding of cannabis cultivation and production processes to tailor maintenance activities. Ensure maintenance procedures support and enhance the growing environment.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all maintenance and safety practices comply with industry regulations. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and safety inspections. Prepare and present reports on facility maintenance performance and safety compliance.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cultivation and production teams to coordinate maintenance activities with minimal disruption. Provide support during equipment installations and upgrades.
  • Vendor Management: Oversee interactions with external contractors and service providers for specialized maintenance tasks. Ensure quality control and timely completion of outsourced services.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Experience in manufacturing maintenance management, with a strong background in preventive maintenance and hands-on repairs. Experience in a cannabis grow facility or similar environment is desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Experience with automated control systems is advantageous.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Capable of addressing maintenance and safety issues efficiently.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective interactions with team members, vendors, and management.
  • Familiarity with Growing Processes: Understanding of cannabis cultivation and production processes to effectively tailor maintenance activities.
  • Biosecurity and Safety: Proven ability to implement and enforce biosecurity and safety protocols. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to biosecurity and facility safety.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work in a dynamic environment.
  • Certifications (Preferred): Relevant certifications in HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems are a plus.
Benefits and Compensation:
  • Annual Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000
