Job Title:             Litigation Associate Attorney

Reports to:         Supervising Attorney 


Position Summary:    Arnold Gallagher P.C. is a premier firm located in Eugene, Oregon. We provide a broad array of legal services to individuals and businesses, ranging from small start-ups and family-owned enterprises to several of the largest privately held companies in the state. Our services including general business representation, commercial transactions and litigation, creditors’ rights, personal injury claims, as well as estate planning, probate, and trust administration.


                                         We seek to hire an experienced Associate Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of litigation experience. Primary duties will include conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and delivering exceptional legal representation for our clients

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and filling documents with Courts
  • Direct communication with Clients
  • Drafting & preparation of pleadings, briefs and motions
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of our clients
  • Appear in court in support of active cases and attend depositions & mediations
  • Successfully balance a full caseload and meet pressing deadlines
  • Supervising legal assistant and paralegal


Qualifications

  • A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Member in good standing with the Oregon State Bar Association
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a litigation attorney.
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively work with clients and support staff
  • Excellent legal-research and writing skills
  • Proficient in legal research tools such as Westlaw
  • A self-driven individual with the ability to manage their own caseload
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively work with clients and support staff


Job Type: Full-Time, In-person


Pay:  Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
