The Senior Producer, Social Media leads the planning, creation, and optimization of social-first content across platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, X, Facebook and YouTube. This role independently creates content while providing editorial guidance and project leadership to Producers and Associate Producers, ensuring all content aligns with our brand voice and strategic goals. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in social content production (shooting/editing), a strong command of performance metrics, confidence working with journalists/talent and the ability to mentor teams while collaborating across departments in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.


Lead social media content projects, offering guidance, support, and feedback to Producers and Associate Producers within the Social Media team while contributing to a collaborative environment.


Plan, prepare, optimize, and publish YouTube content and livestreams while providing feedback and support to Producers and Associate Producers.


Plan, produce, edit and publish high-quality engaging content, including graphics and video, for social media platforms.

Communicate with internal stakeholders and collaborate with editorial teams to ensure that content aligns with overall brand voice.


Interact with Spectrum Networks talent in a professional manner.

Uses a combination of editorial judgment and performance metrics to effectively post on social media platforms.

Participate in tracking and supporting the regular posting schedule of content and editorial pieces across key social media accounts, as directed.

Stay up to date on social media trends and best practices to ensure that content stays innovative and relevant

Keep current with Spectrums News programming, talent, and brand and monitor performance metrics of social content.

Participate in editorial meetings, pitching suggestions for social media content and use news judgment to effectively prioritize when and how developing stories are presented across all social platforms.

Regularly review social metrics and adjust content to optimize to viewer interests.

Works with Associate Producers and Producers to create and maintain the highest degree of quality and ethical standards in presentation of material.
