Position Summary

The Ott VP, Finance serves as the senior financial leader and a key business partner to the Operating Company President. The VP, Finance is accountable for financial integrity, company performance management, capital discipline, and value creation, while providing clear financial insight to support strategic and operational decision-making. This position has financial responsibility for over $100 million dollars in revenue. This role drives profitable growth as a proactive financial partner, ensuring accurate reporting and strong controls, advancing financial and operational performance, managing cash and capital, and partnering with enterprise leadership to align operating company results with broader organizational objectives.

Accountabilities
  • Financial Stewardship and Integrity Own the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of the operating company's financial statements and forecasts Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, tax, audit, and statutory requirements Maintain strong risk management practices and serves as the primary finance interface with auditors and enterprise finance Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital performance Optimize receivables, payables, and inventory to free cash and improve returns Evaluate and prioritize capital investments to ensure alignment with strategic and financial objectives
  • Strategic Business Partnership Assist functional areas in identifying and carrying out business initiatives to improve profits, reduce assets, and improve the efficiency of all processes Provide insight and challenge on growth initiatives, investments, cost structure, and resource allocation Translate operating strategy into financial implications, scenarios, and trade-offs
  • Performance Management and Results Delivery Lead monthly forecasting process, annual budgeting, and long-range planning processes Establish and monitor key performance indicators tied to growth, margin, cash flow, and working capital Drive disciplined operating reviews, variance analysis, and corrective action planning
  • Growth Enablement and Value Creation Partner with commercial and operational leaders on pricing, margin expansion, and productivity initiatives Develop financial cases for new products, market expansion, and strategic investments Support mergers, acquisitions, integrations, divestitures, and restructuring activities
  • Finance Organization Leadership Build and leads a high-performing finance team across accounting, FP&A, and business analysis Develop finance talent with strong commercial and business acumen Drive scalable processes, systems, and data analytics to support business growth
  • Enterprise and Stakeholder Interface Serve as the primary finance liaison to enterprise, segment, and board-level stakeholders Ensure transparency, consistency, and credibility in financial communication Support executive reviews with clear insights, risks, and forward‑looking perspectives
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA strongly preferred) with 10+ years of experience
  • Senior finance leadership experience with demonstrated P&L ownership within an operating company, business unit, or similar matrixed and global environment
  • Demonstrated skill leading and executing financial reporting, controls, FP&A, and cash management
  • Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and influence decision‑making through clear, fact‑based insight
  • Experience driving performance improvement, margin expansion, and disciplined capital allocation
  • Demonstrated people leadership skills with the ability to build and develop high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to operate effectively with enterprise and board-level stakeholders

US ONLY: The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate's position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $225,000 - $260,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
