Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Texas-licensed Trial Attorney to join our litigation team. This is a unique role designed for a seasoned courtroom advocate whose primary responsibility is trying cases. Unlike traditional litigation positions, this role is focused exclusively on trial work and courtroom strategy.


The successful candidate will serve as lead trial counsel while mentoring and training associate attorneys to become effective trial lawyers. This position does not involve discovery, depositions, mediations, or routine pretrial litigation.


Responsibilities

  • Serve as lead trial counsel in jury and bench trials.

  • Develop and execute trial strategy from case assignment through verdict.

  • Prepare opening statements, witness examinations, evidentiary presentations, and closing arguments.

  • Mentor and train associate attorneys in courtroom advocacy, trial preparation, and presentation skills.

  • Conduct mock trials, trial workshops, and courtroom strategy sessions.

  • Collaborate with litigation teams to prepare cases for trial while remaining focused on trial execution.


Qualifications

  • Active license to practice law in the State of Texas.

  • Minimum of 15โ€“20 first-chair or substantial trial experiences to verdict.

  • Demonstrated success in jury and bench trials.

  • Exceptional courtroom presence, advocacy, and persuasion skills.

  • Strong ability to teach, mentor, and develop less-experienced attorneys.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and strategic thinking abilities.


Preferred Experience

  • Civil litigation and jury trial experience.

  • Experience training or supervising attorneys.

  • Proven record of obtaining favorable trial outcomes.
