Mood Fabrics is a leading destination for fashion, sewing, and DIY enthusiasts, known for our extensive range of textiles, trims, and sewing supplies.

Join our team as a Retail Fabric Sales Associate where you'll connect with fabric enthusiasts, share your expertise, and help bring their creative projects to life with the right materials.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on knowledge of textiles through experience in sewing, design, or costume work. A background in fashion design is a definitive plus, though not required. Overall candidates should have a strong demonstrated background in customer service and a eagerness to learn from coworkers on the job.

The role also requires to lift and move fabric bolts weighing 10 lbs or more.

Commission Opportunity: Associates who meet and surpass monthly quotas earn commission from their sales.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Accurately assess customer fabric needs and guide them toward the best solutions for their project.
  • Stay current on fabric trends, new arrivals and product knowledge.
  • Collaborate with sales associates, office staff and teams at other Mood Fabrics locations to fulfill customer needs.
  • Strive to meet and exceed monthly sales goals to earn commission.
  • Assist the team in correctly shelving fabric organized by fiber and weave.
  • Maintain clean and orderly displays of fabric as housed in walls throughout the store.
  • Respond to customer inquiries over the phone and via email to process orders, engaging with customers in a dynamic, fast-paced retail environment.
  • Cultivate long-term relationships with customers seeking a reliable, knowledgeable textile partner.

Requirements
