POSITION SUMMARY
The production associate is responsible for the production of a variety of rotating electrical products (Alternators and Starters), including disassembly, assembly, testing and packaging.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assemble rotating electrical products using remanufactured parts and components ensuring high quality output
  • Maintain cadence of disassembly in order to keep pace of line and attain production targets and metrics
  • Perform daily production tasks in a safe and efficient manner
  • Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and ready for use
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed on time and within budget
  • Participate in a collaborative work environment utilizing effective communication and willingness to cross train to enhance team productivity, versatility, and skill development.
  • Comply with comprehensive safety protocols and participate in ongoing training to ensure a secure work environment and maintain a safety-conscious culture.
  • Follow all 5S principles and guidelines daily to optimize workflow, efficiency, and a clean work environment.
  • Undertakes additional responsibilities and tasks as directed by management.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, & Skills required)
  • Preferred: High School Diploma or an equivalent qualification; 1 years' experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Capable of following instructions and responding to management direction.
  • Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Exhibits experience working collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Has the ability to read and interpret various documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Possesses effective verbal communication skills

Work Environment
This role involves working in a warehouse and manufacturing setting. In this setting, standard equipment such as machinery, computers, cameras, and material handling equipment (forklift, reach truck, order picker, etc.) are used.
Physical Demands
  • Standing Must be able to frequently remain in a stationary position
  • Walking, Reaching and Handling Must be able to move about, in the warehouse and on the shop floor, to access product and machinery, etc. Must be able to stand and walk 60% of time, lift up to 40 lbs. normal, up to 70 lbs. less than 10% of time.
  • Seeing Frequently reads various documents and operates computer and other tools/databases/equipment.
  • Talking and Hearing Frequently communicates with colleagues, co-workers, and customers. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Manual Dexterity Ability to work around or operate manufacturing machinery.
