Job Summary/Overview

The Test Engineer designs, specifies, and procures equipment, materials, hardware, and software required to test products manufactured, distributed, or sold by the company, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Create accurate test specifications and develop efficient test procedures.
  • Design and specify test fixtures and procure necessary materials, parts, and equipment.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain automated test solutions.
  • Maintain test fixture documentation (CAD drawings, schematics, BOMs, replacement parts lists).
  • Ensure test procedures and equipment comply with ISO standards and departmental requirements.
  • Develop test requirements during product design phases.
  • Serve as a technical resource to manufacturing and cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with vendors to resolve test and quality issues.
  • Submit Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) as needed.
  • Process purchase requisitions.
  • Oversee technicians or associates supporting test engineering activities.
  • Perform failure analysis on returned components (as needed).
  • ย Maintain technical competency and stay current with industry advancements.
  • Complete documentation and ensure compliance with safety rules and housekeeping standards.
  • Up to 10% local travel
