Job Summary:
Publix Super Markets is a Fortune 100 company seeking a Data Analyst for their Business Analysis and Reporting team. The role involves providing data science and advanced analytics solutions to enhance profitability and performance in the supply chain, utilizing large data sets and analytic models.
Responsibilities:
• developing analytical models, including descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive models to provide business insights and recommendations for Publix internal business processes in supply chain areas such as retail stores, RBUs, Corporate Forecasting and other support teams.
• analysis and reporting, including development of interactive dashboards, leadership reporting, and ad hoc analysis to provide business insights and recommendations for retail stores, RBU’s, support teams, and other supply chain business areas.
• leadership consulting and advisory services utilizing knowledge of advanced analytical processes, data assets, and business processes for senior leadership, management, RBUs, support teams, and other supply chain business areas.
• leading and participating in complex cross-functional strategic initiatives.
• continuous learning and maintenance & growth of professional skills in advanced data analytics.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Engineering or another analytical discipline from an accredited college or university or its equivalent
• demonstrated experience (work experience and/or education experience): solving analytical problems
• coding with SQL
• coding with R and/or Python
• advanced knowledge of mathematics and statistics
• accounting and/or Finance knowledge (basic knowledge of accounting principles)
• communication skills (in both written and verbal format), including interpersonal skills
• analytical abilities and decision-making skills

• Master’s degree in Data Analytics, MBA, or master’s degree in other analytical discipline
• meet minimum requirements and have 3+ years of analytics work-related experience
• INFORMS Certified Analytics Professional or similar professional certification
• recent completions of Coursera or similar courses to demonstrate ability to stay on trend with analytics
• advanced ability to work with large volumes of data
• advanced knowledge of data analytics best practices as they relate to optimizing business processes (financial performance, pricing, labor efficiency and customer service)
• in depth understanding of Information Systems design methodologies and testing processes
• knowledge of specific business area, including, processes and data
• advanced knowledge of operations research techniques (Linear/Non-Linear Programming, simulation, optimization, forecasting and activity-based costing)
• knowledge of Supply Chain and Logistics methodologies, processes, and workflows and how they interrelate
• knowledge of Publix’s information systems and data
• knowledge of Retail Operations, RBUs, Corporate Purchasing, Manufacturing, Distribution
• leadership skills, including the ability to influence others
• basic knowledge of MicroStrategy
• basic knowledge of Visual Basic
