The Role:
The Associate Technical Sales Engineer plays a critical role within the business; they act as the liaison between the customer and the organization to resolve customer concerns.
Our Technical Sales Engineers develop engineered solutions for customers by understanding their applications while preparing and providing technical proposals.
You will help develop cost-effective solutions for our customers' unique heating and temperature control applications while ensuring their satisfaction with both pre and post order.
Your Responsibilities:
  • Provide premium solutions that are efficient and profitable for customers and the business; identify competitive solutions and review price options through proper channels.
  • Maintain proficiency in business systems, product lines, and the underlying engineering principles.
  • Tasked with driving sales growth and following up with customers on quotes.
  • Complete accurate order entry while adhering to policy, price guidelines, and published lead times.
  • Promptly follow up on assigned sales leads.
  • Process requests for customer material returns.
  • Provide world-class customer service, answering customer inquiries as efficiently and accurately as possible.
  • Collaborate closely with all departments to optimize customer applications and efficiently resolve customer concerns.
  • Escalate concerns related to business at risk.
  • Verify contract information on the customer purchase order and ensure the organization can meet the specified requirements; ensure product requirements are clearly defined at the time of order.

Requirements:
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering is preferred; other technical degrees are considered.
  • Working experience with Microsoft Office programs is a plus.
  • Fluent in the written and speaking English language, experience with other languages considered a plus.
  • Excellent customer facing skills: training, coaching, discussion management, conflict resolution and ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to communicate confidently and concisely in verbal, written and presentation formats to all types of audiences.
