Responsibilities

Peraton requires Technical Project Managers to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) - 3 EOM. The Technical Project Manager (TPM) requires a strong technical background coupled with proven project management skills, specifically within the realm of IT Service Management (ITSM).  The TPM will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet established quality standards, minimizing disruption to ongoing operations.

This position is located at Fort Bragg, NC

Responsibilities:

  • The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365. 
  • Project Managers perform oversight of planning, execution, and completion of projects in accordance with the SIE OPORD.
  • Plans, leads, and manages personnel responsible for the organization's portfolio of projects and maintains efficiency of important project management aspects such as planning, scheduling, budget and risk assessment.
  • Develops and executes project objectives by collaborating with the customer on needs and goals, project proposals, project plans, and intermediate execution status.
  • Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements, and assigning personnel to phases and elements.
  • Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards, and completing technical studies.\
  • Confirms product performance by designing and conducting tests.Determines and maintains project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, sequencing project elements, and maintaining project schedule.
  • Controls project plans by reviewing designs, specifications, schedule changes, and recommending actions.
  • Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, and recommending actions.
  • Responsible for technical/operational leadership of a project/mission within the programmatic guidelines set by the program manager and customer.
  • Defines, generates, and reviews project requirements documentation; performs technical studies to refine project requirements.
  • Monitors projects to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained.
Qualifications

Requirements: 

  • 12 years of experience  
  • DoD TS/SCI clearance
  • Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is desired
  • ITIL Certification is desired
  • Prior experience managing IT projects is desired
  • Must be DoW 8140 compliant under the Work Role Code 802 - Project Manager- Advanced level or higher by 1 Oct 26.

Target Salary Range$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
