Job description

Job Title: Technical Project Manager – HSN AWS Migration

Location:  Quincy, MA (Hybrid)

Job Type: Contract

Experience: 5+ years in IT Project Management

Job Overview   Key Responsibilities  
  • Ensure proper project governance, monitoring, schedule management, issue tracking, and status reporting
  • Oversee project and vendor team activities, schedules, and deliverables across all migration phases: discovery, design, build, migration, testing, training, and operations
  • Develop and maintain detailed integrated roadmaps, project plans, work breakdown structures, and timelines
  • Manage system and operational risks; implement risk mitigation and escalation protocols
  • Coordinate with EOTSS and EOHHS shared service teams and report status to program leadership
  • Review, approve, and sign off on all project deliverables
  • Ensure all project documentation meets agency and Commonwealth standards with proper version control
  • Monitor project budgets, resource utilization, procurement, and vendor contract management
Required Skills  
  • Extensive hands-on IT project management experience with full accountability and financial responsibility
  • Strong operational and project management skills across SDLC methodologies
  • Strong knowledge or experience with AWS services or AWS migration (or similar cloud platforms such as Azure)
  • Understanding of testing methodologies: functional, systems, integration, performance, UAT, and security
  • Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, Visio, SharePoint, Jira, and MS Teams
  • Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Skills  
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification
  • Prior experience working within Massachusetts state government or similar public sector environments
Location & Work Model  

Hybrid model (in-office + remote).   Quincy, MA. 

Engagement Details  

Contract engagement. 37.5-hour work week, no overtime. Start date approximately 3 weeks after offer acceptance.
