Job Description: Job Title: Senior IT Project Manager (Agile Software Development) Overview / Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a large-scale software development initiative. This role is responsible for managing project delivery, ensuring alignment with established project management and systems engineering methodologies, supporting long-term release planning, monitoring budget, quality, and schedules, managing risks and issues, and ensuring project scope and quality expectations are achieved.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage software development projects from planning through delivery.
  • Ensure adherence to established project management practices, procedures, and systems engineering methodology.
  • Perform long-term release planning based on organizational direction.
  • Monitor project budget, quality, and schedule.
  • Regularly collaborate with project management teams to review project status.
  • Escalate project risks and issues to executive leadership as needed.
  • Perform project quality control activities to ensure project scope expectations are met.
  • Provide comprehensive written and verbal reporting to stakeholders, including executives.
  • Remove project impediments and negotiate cross-functional dependencies.
  • Collaborate with engineering, QA, product, architecture, compliance, and operations teams.
  • Guide teams in implementing Agile best practices, continuous improvement, and delivery forecasting.
  • Support enterprise-level software solutions and integration-heavy, API-driven, or data-centric systems.
  • Facilitate executive-level reporting, dashboards, burn-up metrics, and KPI updates.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience serving as a Project Manager in a software development environment.
  • Hands-on experience using Agile lifecycle management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Rally, or VersionOne.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, cloud-first environments using Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Proven experience supporting complex, enterprise-level software solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Secure Application Development Life Cycle (SADLC), and modern DevOps practices.
  • Experience providing written and verbal reporting to stakeholders, including executives.
  • Strong ability to remove impediments, negotiate dependencies, and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience supporting integration-heavy, API-driven, or data-centric systems.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to guide teams in Agile best practices, continuous improvement, and delivery forecasting.
  • Strong servant leadership mindset.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to drive transparency, predictability, and continuous delivery.
  • Comfortable facilitating executive-level reporting, dashboards, burn-up metrics, and KPI updates.
  • Ability to maintain a positive, motivating influence in high-pressure or sensitive delivery timelines.
