Job Title: Associate Technical Integration Specialist
Location: Piscataway, NJ
Compensation: The estimated salary range is $75,000 - $95,000 based on experience level.
Job Scope:
The Associate Technical Integration Specialist will support customer-facing system integration and technical coordination activities for GenScript's US and EU commercial teams.
The role includes basic integration support, API and data-flow testing, initial troubleshooting, customer and internal communication, documentation, and project/task coordination. The position will work closely with customers, business teams, project managers, and technical teams across the US and China.
The ideal candidate has foundational IT or computer science knowledge, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to learn new integration technologies and business processes quickly.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support standardized customer and partner system integration activities, including requirements and integration information gathering, configuration confirmation, testing coordination, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Understand and review basic system interactions and data flows, including APIs, HTTP requests and responses, authentication, XML, and JSON.
  • Perform basic API and integration testing using Postman or similar tools.
  • Collect and analyze basic troubleshooting information such as error messages, timestamps, screenshots, logs, and request/response payloads.
  • Coordinate with customers, business teams, project managers, developers, and other cross-functional teams across different departments and time zones.
  • Organize assigned project activities, document decisions, follow up on action items, and provide timely status updates.
  • Track project status, timelines, tasks, owners, dependencies, risks, blockers, open questions, and next actions.
  • Create and maintain project records, meeting notes, troubleshooting guides, and other technical documentation.
  • Escalate complex technical issues, project delays, and unresolved dependencies with clear and complete background information.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Foundational knowledge of IT systems, software applications, system integration, and data exchange.
  • Basic understanding of APIs, HTTP request/response concepts, XML, JSON, structured data, and relational databases.
  • Basic SQL knowledge.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese.
  • Demonstrated project coordination skills, including documentation, task tracking, prioritization, stakeholder follow-up, and status reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail, structured problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience or internship in technical support, SaaS implementation, system integration, customer onboarding, or technical project coordination.
  • Experience supporting technical implementation or onboarding activities through requirements gathering, testing, and completion.
  • Experience using Postman, SQL tools, Jira, or similar tools.
  • Basic coding or scripting knowledge in a language such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with PunchOut, cXML, EDI, procurement platforms, or other B2B system integrations.
  • Experience working in a customer-facing and cross-functional environment.
