Job description

Job Title: Microsoft 365 Engineer
Location: Bethpage, Long Island or Manhattan, NY
Duration: 12 months
Visa: Candidate must be eligible to work on W2 or C2C

About the Opportunity:
  • Schedule: 3 to 4 days a week onsite
  • Location: Bethpage, Long Island or Manhattan, NY
  • Availability to work during emergencies and scheduled afterhours and weekends

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of IT Operations Engineers
  • Oversee maintenance and optimization of servers, LOB applications, software, and cloud systems
  • Provide daily technical guidance and support to the team
  • Handle level 2 and level 3 escalations
  • Provide end-user troubleshooting and service support
  • Manage and support various applications, including Microsoft and O365.Engage with cloud technologies, focusing on Microsoft
  • Ensure effective management and support of all major technologies and tools
  • Oversee the implementation and deployment of changes across environments
  • Document procedures and ensure adherence by the team
  • Complete regular SOX User Access Reviews for LOB applications
  • Identify and implement automation solutions to enhance efficiency
  • Continuously evaluate and refine processes for optimal resource utilization

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in System Administration with Windows Operating Systems
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft 365 technologies
  • 2+ years of experience in Database Administration with Microsoft SQL
  • Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, and/or a related field
  • Proven experience in managing and leading a team in an enterprise-level environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, DFS, DNS, IIS, High-Availability & Failover Clustering
  • Knowledge of Cloud Computing (Azure and AWS) and SaaS applications
  • Experience with VMware vSphere and Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops
  • Proficiency with PowerShell scripting
  • Experience with enterprise monitoring, automation, and orchestration systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.Understanding of networking concepts
  • Experience with ITIL frameworks
  • Strong communication skills
  • Highly organized, motivated, and a team player
