Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Associate Systems Engineer (Endpoint Technology) is an entry-level role responsible for supporting the engineering, deployment, and management of enterprise endpoint devices, including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices (e.g., Zebra handhelds). This position works closely with senior engineers to maintain secure, reliable, and efficient endpoint management platforms and contributes to the lifecycle management of end-user computing devices.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Endpoint Device Management
  • Assist in the deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of PCs, laptops, and mobile devices
  • Support endpoint management platforms such as Microsoft Intune, SCCM/MECM, or other Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) tools
  • Help enforce device configurations, compliance policies, and security baselines

Documentation & Collaboration
  • Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps
  • Collaborate with IT teams including Service Desk, Infrastructure, Security, and Application teams
  • Provide clear communication on issue status and resolutions

Automation & Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve endpoint deployment and management processes
  • Contribute to standardization and documentation efforts

Security & Compliance
  • Support endpoint security initiatives, including antivirus, encryption, compliance enforcement, and vulnerability remediation
  • Assist with audits and ensure devices meet corporate security standards
  • Help monitor and respond to security alerts involving endpoint devices

Patching, Imaging & Deployment
  • Assist with OS imaging, software packaging, and application deployments
  • Support patch management processes for operating systems and endpoint applications

Operational Support
  • Provide Tier 1-2 support for endpoint-related incidents, service requests, and device issues
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues on end-user devices
  • Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers as needed
  • Participate in scheduled on-call or after-hours support as required

Mobile Device Support
  • Assist with provisioning, staging, and troubleshooting Zebra mobile devices and related applications
  • Support mobile device management (MDM) solutions for device enrollment, configuration, and updates
  • Work with business units to ensure mobile devices meet operational requirements
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 0-3 years of experience in IT support, desktop support, or endpoint administration
  • Basic understanding of Windows operating systems and endpoint hardware
  • Familiarity with endpoint management tools (Intune, SCCM/MECM, or similar)
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts (Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS)
  • Strong customer service orientation and communication skills

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Attention to detail and adherence to processes
  • Willingness to learn and grow technical skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
