CMIT is a managed-IT service provider for businesses in the St. Louis Metro Area providing support to small and medium sized businesses. We are looking for a dynamic, motivated and skilled Systems Engineer to join our team! We are seeking an experienced and customer-service focused individual who will work with our clients on some of our toughest assignments. Here are just some of the benefits of this position:

Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Making customer recommendations for IT System upgrades including Networks, Servers, and Storage
  • Configuration and setup of network infrastructures
  • Resolution of our most difficult networking issues
  • Assist on projects beyond networking including PC and Windows Server setups.
  • Excellent customer service presence
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong project management ability

Must have experience with some or all of the following:

  • Firewall, Switch, and Access Point management
  • Configuring complete network solutions including VLANs, VPNs, SDWAN, etc.
  • Working with Telecom Vendors to specify solutions based on customer need and budget
  • Windows Server 2016/2019/2022/2025 including Active Directory and Group Policies
  • Workstations Operating Systems including: Windows 7/8/10/11
  • Microsoft Office 365
  • Security Solutions including Disk Encryption, Secure Messaging and DNS Filtering
  • Virtualization technologies including Hyper-V and VMWare
  • Image-Based Backup and Disaster Recovery Solutions

Desired Experience:

  • 6+ Years in a Technology Support Role
  • Small/Medium Sized Business Support experience across a variety of technologies
  • Experience working for a Managed Services provider
  • Technology Education: Associates or Bachelors Degree
