Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Associate Systems Engineer/Systems Engineer (T1/2) to support the Sentinel Program in Roy, UT.
What You'll Get to Do:
You'll demonstrate technical skills, organization, be an effective communicator, and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will demonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrity, and the capability to innovate. They will have an ability to operate in a team environment and collaborate across the program as required to accomplish assigned and team taskings. You will work in a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) environment.
Your responsibility will be to ensure the following responsibilities are met:
  • Ensure Authoritative Sources of Truth (ASOTs) such as Cameo and DOORS are up to date.
  • Support vertical and horizontal integration of ASOTs, perform basic patch operations, create branch permissions, archive branches, and update Cameo project usages.
  • Troubleshoot Cameo model health and maintenance issues such as expression errors, usage errors, and performance fixes to ensure successful model integration and delivery.
  • Develop Cameo modeling skills to create dictated content and follow Configuration Control/Control Management processes for creating/modifying program models.
  • Document processes and own work scope to institutionalize learning.

Basic Qualifications:
This requisition may be fulfilled at either the Associate Systems Engineer level or Systems Engineer level.
Required for both Associate Systems Engineer/Systems Engineer levels:
  • Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
  • Must be a systems thinker who is inherently curious about how things work, enjoys troubleshooting, and is motivated to develop new skills.
  • A strong interest in long-term growth and development in systems engineering, driven by a deep passion for the discipline.

Associate Systems Engineer (T1):
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) from an accredited university with 0 years of related experience.
  • Familiarity with SysML/DoDAF/UAF/UML
  • Ability to clearly present and communicate ideas, concepts, and plans

Systems Engineer (T2):
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) from an accredited university with 2 years of related experience; master's degree and 0 years of related experience.
  • Experience with SysML/DoDAF/UAF/UML
  • Experience presenting/communicating technical concepts, and plans.

This position's standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Primary Level Salary Range: $65,800.00 - $98,800.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
