Job Description:

As the System Engineering Senior Associate, you will be responsible for supporting hardware and software requirements definition, decomposition, allocation, management, verification, and validation of technical products and systems. You will also be assisting in conducting component trade studies, performing system integration, and characterizing system performance.

The Agile Development Group (ADG) specializes in developing disruptive, next-generation technologies for advanced Unmanned Air Systems (UAS / UAV), advanced radar systems, next-generation weapon systems, and other RF sensor technologies.

Essential Functions:

  • System design with Model Based Systems Engineering
  • Support the definition requirements, flow-down and traceability for complex electronic systems
  • Support the use system design synthesis of simple systems
  • Support the development of use cases
  • Perform design verification testing efforts including lab, chamber, ground, and flight tests
  • Support the analysis of data from design verification test efforts
  • Support the cost, schedule, and execution planning of complex development and test activities
  • Support the development and run simulations and other analysis tools to predict system performance in various environments
  • Support the presentation of results during internal and external program meetings
  • Support the development, tracking and presenting of technical metrics
  • Support risk assessment and develop mitigation strategies for complex projects
  • Support Systems Engineering Integrated Product Team
  • Implementation of MBSE artifacts and Digital Analysis Tools
  • Support the generation of supplier statements of work, supplier oversight, auditing of supplier-delivered artifacts
  • Support trade studies on a variety of system issues and components

  • Exposure to RF or radar system components including antenna, receiver, exciter, and processor
  • Experience in design, development and/or testing of radar and/or other RF systems
  • Support of system level design experience in which the applicant has been involved in the design and integration of complex hardware/software systems, the definition of multiple interfaces and been involved in the trades of multiple solution options
  • Hands-on experience being involved in system integration, engineering testing, and system performance characterization
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products
  • Up to 10% travel may be required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, there is a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
  • Must have an active Department of War Security Clearance to be Considered

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with and an understanding of aerospace systems, especially in the development of integrated hardware/software products
  • Experience integrating sensors into air vehicles
  • Working knowledge of military standards
  • Familiarity with guided weapons and/or weapon systems
  • Experience leading a small team to complete assigned program tasking
