Supply Chain Manager

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Responsible for leading the end-to-end material flow, procurement, and logistics in a fast-paced environment.ย  Develop employees through a combination of providing coaching and training.
Ensure the availability of aviation components and rotables, drive supplier performance, and guarantee strict compliance with aviation regulatory standards.ย 


ROLES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Acts proactively supporting safety at all times. Safety is ALWAYS first
  • Leads supplier development strategy, identifying sources of services and products, make / buy decisions, inventory levels to ensure products are available to meet customer on time delivery.
  • Lead RFQs, negotiates supplier contracts, and establish commodity strategies to achieve cost savings and favorable terms.
  • Lead inventory control, including stockroom, cycle counts, stock allocation, and shelf-life controls to minimize shortages and ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Manage inbound/outbound freight, hazardous materials (DG shipments), and customs for timely global delivery.
  • Maintain complete traceability documentation and ensure all parts comply with aviation airworthiness mandates.
  • Supervise buyers, planners, and material handlers while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Manage suppliers to ensure OTD and quality KPIs are achieved.
  • Develop and execute strategies improving of safety, on time delivery, inventory, and productivity
  • Utilize goal deployment process (GDP) to maintain focus and to develop and implement supporting objectives for each team members, measure actual performance against plan and implement effective countermeasures where appropriate
  • Understand customer needs and ability to translate into supply chain & operational schedules
  • Develop and manage direct Purchasing process to ensure timely availability of direct materials and supplies
  • Expert in coaching direct and indirect reports to improve individual/team performance
  • Create inputs/supports the Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning process
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, especially those pertaining to compliance, safety, and business ethics
  • Apply theory of constraints, elevate and remove barriers
  • Support all efforts to improve customer satisfaction (OTD, Quality, Low cost)
  • Manage supply and demand to assure optimal inventory, productive factory workflow and best overall value for Airtomic
  • Material planning to assure on-time delivery, achievement of revenue requirements, and effective inventory management
  • Develop processes to analyze material purchases supporting cost reduction, inventory control, E&O and supplier performance.
  • Coordinate contractors for facilities maintenance.
  • Perform all other duties as required

REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree with 6 years of progressive responsibility in supply chain functions including ERP based planning, purchasing, production control, and logistics activities
  • Experience in a high mix low volume, engineered to order environment.
  • Understanding of FAA/EASA/CAA/CAAC regulations, traceability documents (e.g., FAA Form 8130-3), and quality standards (AS9100, ISO 9001, NADCAP).
  • Demonstrated history of finding parts / details using ILS or other aerospace suppliers / brokers.
  • Demonstrated history of identifying / developing aerospace suppliers.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma processes.
  • Demonstrated history of strong critical thinking skills with solid strategic and tactical balance.
  • Change-agent with a history of challenging and coaching others in culture change.
  • Highly regarded customer responsiveness and ambassadorship skills.
  • Superior communication across all levels of the organization.
  • US Citizen Required.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills in WORD, EXCEL, Power BI, and PowerPoint
  • Attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of this position
