Job description

Principal Engineer (AI Engineer Lead)

Location: This role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace.Ideal candidates will be able to report to one of our Pulse Point locations in Indianapolis, IN or Atlanta, GA. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office.

The Principal Engineer (AI Engineer Lead) is responsible for applying and integrating advanced statistical, mathematical, predictive modeling and business analysis for the Artificial Intelligence (AI) function.

How you will make an impact:

  • Assists with strategic initiatives of data analysis, systems data sets, and advanced data sources.

  • Develops leading edge theories, techniques, and/or technologies within the AI function.

  • Collaborates and publishes research in high impact peer-reviewed scientific journals or external conferences to make significant contributions to the AI community.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in a highly quantitative field (Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operational Research, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.) or equivalent degree and 10 or more years of experience; or any combination of education and experience in configuration management, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

  • Hands-on experience with Agentic AI and MCP highly preferred.

  • Experience creating Agents, Multi-Agent reasoning and Multi-Agent architecture highly preferred.
