Job description

What You'll Do:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Principal to join our Incident Management Support Team - OEM. Focusing on operational practices, the ideal candidate will have experience in cloud engineering, container orchestration and a strong background in providing Level 2 technical support and managing enterprise service management platforms like ServiceNow.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Cloud Engineering: Support and manage applications and services in a hybrid- cloud environment such as AWS. Ensure optimal performance, cost-efficiency, and security.
  • Container Orchestration: Support Kubernetes clusters for containerized application deployment, scaling, and management.
  • ServiceNow Integration: Configure and integrate DevOps tools and processes with the ServiceNow platform to automate incident management and support other IT service workflows.
  • Technical Support: Serve as a subject matter expert for Level 2 technical issues, troubleshooting complex problems related to software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and application performance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with software development, deployment, and SRE teams to ensure seamless integration and a shared understanding of operational requirements.
  • Monitoring & Optimization: Implement comprehensive monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system health and proactively identify and resolve issues.

Qualifications:

Technical Skills:
  • Demonstrable expertise in Cloud Engineering on at least one major platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow, including ITSM, ITOM, and other relevant modules.
  • Experience providing Level 2 technical support in a fast-paced, enterprise environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in DevOps, Software Engineering, or similar role.

Compensation
  • The salary range listed for any given position is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. If hired at OCC, your final base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as skills, experience and/or education.
  • In addition, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
  • We typically do not hire at the maximum of the range in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer a substantial benefits package as noted on www.theocc.com/careers
  • All employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are based on various factors, including, but not limited to, company and individual performance and are not guaranteed.

Salary Range
$111,300.00 - $153,200.00
Incentive Range
8% to 15%
This position is eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award, for which the target range is listed above (see Incentive Range). The amount of such award, if any, will be based on various factors, including without limitation, both individual and company performance.
