Summary
The MIL Corporation is seeking a highly motivated AI and Azure Cloud Engineer (Software Engineering, Senior Associate) to drive the migration of on-premises development and full SDLC environments to an Azure cloud environment for a federal agency. The ideal candidate will spearhead an initiative that aims to modernize legacy applications, act as a strategic technical advisor, and integrate AI/LLM solutions to optimize cloud workflows.
This position currently requires a hybrid schedule. Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the migration of legacy applications and on-premise SDLC environments to Azure-based cloud applications.
  • Architect, provision, and manage cloud resources across all project phases (Testing, Development, Production, etc.).
  • Develop and manage accurate cost estimates for cloud infrastructure, resources, and services.
  • Act as the primary technical advisor for the planning, architecture, and execution of cloud and AI projects.
  • Solution and implement AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to make cloud processes, projects, and development workflows more effective and efficient.
  • Monitor, manage, and optimize Azure cloud environments and AI API services.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of overall applicable professional experience.
  • Minimum of 6 years of technical experience working directly with similar cloud systems, environments, and migrations.
  • Proven expertise in moving legacy applications to Azure-based cloud infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated ability to set up cloud resources and calculate detailed cost estimates for multi-phase cloud projects.
  • Applied experience utilizing Large Language Models (LLMs) and artificial intelligence to improve technical processes and business solutions.
  • Strong capability to act as a technical leader and advisor to stakeholders.

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Palantir Foundry (Highly preferred).
  • Knowledge of Azure Data Lake and Databricks.
  • Python experience.
  • Experience fine-tuning or training custom ML/language models.

Education
BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other relevant technical/business field.
Clearance
Ability to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance

For this position, the projected compensation range is $125,000 - $175,000 per year. This estimate represents the typical salary range and is just one part of MIL's complete compensation package.
