Job description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a QA Engineer/SDET Consultant for a hybrid (3 days onsite) position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role involves automating test cases for front-office trade flows within a Capital Markets environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in application and automation framework development using Python, with a strong background in testing sales and trading applications. Responsibilities: Continual discussions with Dev Teams, to review stories planned, vet requirements of new features and story point automation efforts -plus participate in testing as needed Input test plan and scenarios into Xray - convert scenarios into automation Perform Impact Assessment of all business requirements and any changes -vet requirements Maintain applicable test artifacts (Test plan, test cases, test data automation scripting) per the business requirements or change requests Code Pull and review, future CI/CD implementation, execution and reporting Requirements: Strong knowledge and coding experience in Python to automate test cases for front office trade flow Strong hands-on experience in expanding frameworks and creating new automation scenarios programmatically using Python 5-7 years of experience in application development/automation framework development using Python 2+ years of working knowledge and ability to develop test automation script for Front Office Capital Markets Sales and Trading applications (Fixed Income preferred) Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks Strong knowledge in core Python or any equivalent, automation testing tools for front end & web service API testing Hands on automation coding for Sales and Trading workflows with applications similar to Sophis, Murex, Summit, Numerix, ION or CRD Prior experience working as QE/SDET in agile/scrum teams, shipping features often Ability to understand complex trading flows between various internal and external applications Demonstrated ability to identify and report Risks and Issues Desired skills: Strong working knowledge of Fixed Income and Derivatives Front Office Testing- Capital Market Pay range: $75 - $80 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
