JOB MISSION:

New Balance is looking for aSenior Software Engineer (full stack) to join an agile team charged with digitizing our product development and manufacturing process. You will be joining an energy filled agile development team of software engineers, qa, and product owners to building solutions for the manufacturing floor.

You will take on design, develop Spring microservice back-end and React JS front-end solutions to an Azure environment that bringsagility, performance, scalability, and timely value to New Balance Manufacturing. Your work will directly impact the lives of our product design, development, and manufacturing teams by delivering delightful user experiences and workflow efficiencies.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Collaborate with the product owner and team of engineers to translate complex requirements into solution components
  • DESIGN & CODE across the full software stack.
  • Collaborate with the architectto research new technologies, execute technical proof of concepts, and provide technology recommendations
  • Develop scalable, fast, robust web-based solutions and integrations
  • Be willing to continuously learn from and teach others on better ways of building and delivering software

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS

  • Experience in building and maintaining Single Page Applications using React, Typescript
  • Strong knowledge in Java framework and microservicesarchitecture using Spring Boot
  • Strong knowledge of software engineering best practicesand architectural trends
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and proactive approach to addressing problems
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Experience building cloud-native software on Azure
  • Proficiency in database technologies (MongoDB NoSQL, Snowflake)
  • Experience in high quality software delivery with continuous refactoring, TDD, automated test suites and CI/CD tools for both Java and Client-Side JavaScript components
  • Passionate about exploring new skills and technologies and teaching your fellow team members
  • Experience working in an agile environment with a passion for supporting and enabling others to become more productive
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, etc) a plus
  • Prior experience in application integration using messaging, SOAP web-services or REST APIs would be nice to have
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science or software development with at least 12 years of relevant experience.
Boston, MA 80 Guest Street Only Pay Range: $104,500.00 - $130,000.00 - $155,500.00 Annual (actual base pay varying based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, internal equity, geographic location, and more.)

Flexible Work Schedule

New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Our offices are fully open, and amenities are available across our North American office locations. To continue our focus on hybrid work we have introduced "Work from Anywhere" (WFA) for four weeks per calendar year.
