As a Staff Software Engineer, you will lead the development and delivery of scalable platform capabilities, including infrastructure, tooling, and AI/ML frameworks. This role requires ownership of the full software lifecycle, from design through deployment and maintenance, applying cloud-native principles to enhance system resilience and agility. You will provide technical leadership, mentor engineering teams, and collaborate across functions to translate complex requirements into effective solutions. Your expertise will drive innovation, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence, ensuring alignment with business objectives and fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.

At Walmart Connect, the AdTech Engineering team develops advanced platforms and AI-driven solutions integrating advertising, commerce, and data. The team tackles complex challenges such as automated media generation and next-generation AI systems to improve operations for advertisers, sellers, and internal partners. What you'll do:

  • Deliver platform capabilities including infrastructure, tooling, and ML frameworks aligned with roadmap milestones and domain priorities.
  • Apply cloud-native architecture principles to ensure scalable, resilient, and agile systems.
  • Lead full software development lifecycle activities including coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Conduct system design reviews to validate feasibility and ensure quality and alignment with architectural standards.
  • Build AI-driven applications integrating multi-step reasoning and automation features.
  • Mentor engineers, influence technical decisions, and promote engineering excellence through documentation and knowledge sharing.
