Summary

The MIL Corporation seeks a Financial System Developer (Software Engineering, Associate) to support a Federal Government client in Washington, DC.

This position currently offers a remote work schedule, with a requirement to travel to the client site as needed. Schedule is subject to change based on agency, contract, and MIL requirements.

This position is currently unfunded and is being posted in anticipation of a future contract award and funding approval. We are proactively identifying and engaging with qualified candidates. While candidates may be contacted for pre-screening, any hiring decisions will be contingent upon funding availability and final program requirements or client approval.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy solutions such as applications, interfaces, workflows, automations, dashboards, scripts, forms, reports, and utilities for financial management systems.
  • Design and implement data models and information architectures, including indexing, threshold management, governance, permissions, and performance management.
  • Manage, translate, and reconfigure financial system data to support budgeting, financial operations, and financial reporting.
  • Troubleshoot issues and errors in the current financial system environment; implement fixes, legacy replacements, error handling, and performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements and prioritize delivery.
  • Analyze legacy applications for improvements and modernization; translate legacy system behavior into functional and technical requirements.
  • Follow and implement industry leading practices for development, performance, scalability, governance, and security.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with MS 365 applications, including SharePoint and Excel
  • Experience with Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps)
  • Experience with Azure Services and Active Directory
  • Experience working with MS applications in a GCC High environment
  • Experience with development and backend services using .NET MVC (C#), Web API, Java Script, jQuery, Node.js and CSS, Cloud AWS, MS SQL, Python, R, and GitHub Enterprise
  • Experience migrating legacy systems into MS 365 or Power Platform
  • Experience developing and maintaining web services
  • Experience designing and maintaining user interfaces with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
  • Knowledge of data migration strategies such as ETL, data cleansing, and transformation
  • Significant SQL experience with stored procedures, functions, and performance tuning
  • Experience in developing RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core Web API and understanding ASP.NET Core for custom middleware and security features
  • Strong communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work independently in a federal government environment.

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Federal accounting and financial management policies, practices, operations, and procedures
  • Experience with CGI Federal's Momentum accounting package
  • Experience with MVC and Web APIs
  • Experience with JavaScript libraries such as Chart.js and Bootstrap
  • Developer and security certifications such as ISC2 CSSLP, MS Certified Developer, CompTIA Security+, etc.

For this position, the projected compensation range is $114,000 - $132,000 per year. This estimate represents the typical salary range and is just one part of MIL's complete compensation package.
