We are seeking an experienced Senior CNO Software Developer to support advanced cyber operations through software development, capability integration, rapid prototyping, and vulnerability research. This role is ideal for an experienced developer who thrives in a fast-paced mission environment and enjoys solving complex technical problems that directly support national security.


Position Overview

As a Senior CNO Software Developer, you will design, develop, and integrate advanced software capabilities supporting Computer Network Operations (CNO). You will work across multiple operating systems and programming environments to develop mission-focused tools, conduct vulnerability research, prototype emerging capabilities, and support operational cyber missions.

This position requires a strong software engineering background, low-level programming experience, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary technical teams supporting high-priority cyber operations.



Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software supporting Computer Network Operations (CNO) 
  • Develop and integrate cyber capabilities into operational mission environments 
  • Build software components, tools, and prototypes to support evolving mission requirements 
  • Conduct vulnerability research and support reverse engineering efforts 
  • Rapidly prototype new technologies and demonstrate technical capabilities 
  • Develop software across multiple operating systems and platforms 
  • Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and mission operators to deliver innovative solutions 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in operational environments 
  • Manage multiple priorities while supporting time-sensitive mission objectives 
  • Identify technical risks early and communicate mitigation strategies to leadership 
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of software architecture, development practices, and mission capabilities 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline and 12+ years of relevant experience
  • OR Master's degree in a related field and 10+ years of relevant experience 
  • OR Associate's degree (or High School diploma with additional experience) and 16+ years of relevant experience 
  • Experience developing software for Computer Network Operations or related cyber mission programs 
  • Strong experience with one or more operating systems including: 
    • Linux 
    • Windows 
  • Proficiency with programming languages such as: 
    • C++ 
    • Python 
  • Experience with assembly language on any processor or platform 
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, mission-driven environments 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to identify, communicate, and mitigate technical and operational risks 
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph, or the ability to obtain a CI Polygraph prior to start
