Job Summary:
VTG is seeking a highly qualified Associate Software Engineer with hands-on experience in design and integration using C++ and Qt. The role involves developing Human Machine Interface and Control Functionality for submersibles and surface craft, working in an Agile environment, and collaborating with a diverse team.
Responsibilities:
• The ideal candidate will bring in-depth knowledge and experience of Linux based design of Human Machine Interface and control systems.
• Will work on a small diverse team developing and delivering command and control systems to submersibles and surface craft.
• Will work as part of a team responsible for the design, development, test, and integration of SW.
• Must be a motivated self-starter who thrives with limited supervision.
• Will report to the Decision Support System program leads developing software solutions for relevant programs.
• Ability to work in a multiple discipline team in support of command and controls system design and integration.
Qualifications:
Required:
• hands on experience with design and integration using C++ and Qt
• experience with SW development in an Agile environment
• in-depth knowledge and experience of Linux based design of Human Machine Interface and control systems
• ability to work in a multiple discipline team in support of command and controls system design and integration
• Technical degree in Computer Science, SW Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent
• C++, Qt, Agile Development Process
• US Citizen with current SECRET Clearance or ability to obtain a SECRET clearance
• successful completion of background check
Preferred:
• experience with the design and development of control systems
• experience with Programable Logic Controllers
