About You

We need someone who is experienced in designing and implementing test plans for internal and external clients, execute manual and automated tests, debug defects, and collaborating with business analysts, technical analysts, and developers to resolve defects prior to release.). In the role of SQA Testing Engineer, you will be responsible for corrective actions and tracking quality assurance metrics to ensure the IT systems supporting the organization's operations function properly and efficiently.

About The Position

  • Perform analysis related to solution design, requirements/specifications/other technical design documents to establish well defined and adequately structured test basis for interfaces and systems tailored to the project requirements.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test scripts for internal and external clients.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
  • Conduct rigorous functional, regression, API, performance, and user interface testing.
  • Extensive manual testing with ability to design, develop, maintain, and execute automation scripts when appropriate.
  • Collaboration with technical business analysts, technical analysts, developers, and business owners to clarify requirements and ensure product quality.
  • Expertise in back-end testing by leveraging complex SQL queries.
  • Identify, log, record, document thoroughly, and track anomalies and bugs.
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
  • Develop, implement, and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
  • Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and testing strategies.
  • Actively participate in meetings to facilitate success.
  • Develop testing policies and procedures for modifications and changes.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5-10 years work experience in software quality assurance and testing.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Expertise in functional and non-functional testing best practices.
  • Analytical problem-solving and deductive reasoning skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects at the same time.
  • Excellent orally and written communication ability to effectively work with a wide variety of audiences.
  • Ability to successfully perform job functions with minimal supervision.
  • Strong understanding and support of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), compliance, and IT Governance.
  • Personal traits of a high-level commitment, team orientation, professionalism, trust, personal honesty, and integrity.
  • Elevated level of diligence and analytical skills.
  • Experience with Jira, SQL, Practi-Test, and Confluence tool is a plus.
  • Experience in Healthcare setting required.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) a plus.
