Job description

This position supports two programs with mission applications focused on software modernization, containerization, hardening, and deployment to security-compliant cloud infrastructure. Based out of Warrendale, PA, this is a hybrid role and part of a multi-disciplinary, collaborative team of software, IT, and security engineers at Neya Systems, a subsidiary of ARA, delivering the next generation of cloud- and web-enabled modeling and simulation software.
As a key contributor, your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines, working with developers to containerize both new and existing code, managing releases of mission applications into customer environments, and supporting infrastructure deployment and automation efforts. This position is hybrid, with an expectation of 3 days per week onsite in Warrendale, PA.
Note: A security clearance is not required for current projects. U.S. citizenship is required. The ability to obtain a clearance in the future may be beneficial, but an active clearance is not necessary for this role.
Required Education and/or Experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science with 8-10 years of related experience,
OR
• Master's degree with 6-8 years of related experience.
Required Technology & Skills
• Experience with containers and containerization workflows (Docker required)
• Experience with CI/CD systems (GitLab preferred; GitHub, Atlassian, or similar also acceptable)
• Experience with C++ development workflows (preferred)
• Experience with Python (helpful but secondary to C++)
• Experience with artifact management and code quality tools (e.g., Artifactory, SonarQube)
• Experience with security patching and remediation
• Strong teamwork orientation with clear written and verbal communication skills
Nice-to-Have Skills (Not Required)
• Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools
• Kubernetes familiarity (helpful but not required)
• Experience with cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, on-prem)
Certifications
• CompTIA Security+ (or DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 equivalent) preferred
