Overview:
Management Science Associates, Inc. We are seeking a Software Engineer (all levels) with 3 or more years of experience to join the MSA Media Division. We are a mature business segment which offers leading edge analytics and optimization solutions to some of the best known and most popular brands in the media industry. In this role you will work with major cable television networks to build the tools that will shape the next generation of content distribution and advertising.
The software engineer will work with an experienced team in a collaborative and flexible Agile environment. You will apply your craftsmanship and innovation to interesting problems that materially affect business outcomes. Responsibilities:
  • Apply a strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms to existing applications in C/C++ and/or .NET Framework
  • Use scientific programming methods to solve unique computational problems
  • Use a diverse mathematical toolkit to formulate and update analytical models
  • Conduct statistical analysis on large data sets
  • Work closely with Engineers, Business Analysis, Quality Assurance, and Product support
  • Communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Able to perform under pressure in a rapidly-evolving industry
  • Ability to develop broad domain knowledge and technical depth

Required Skills:
  • Requires a four-year degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, or other related quantitative discipline. PhD or Masters preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years practical experience writing computational or algorithmic software
  • Qualified candidates will have previous development experience with C/C++, C#, Java, or other Objected Oriented language
  • Familiarity with systems architecture and design patterns
  • Linux OS and shell scripting
  • Understanding of relational databases and SQL
  • Works Independently on all SDLC phases
  • Familiarity and experience with MSA's core competencies: Data Management, Information Technology and Analytics
