Job Summary:
Florida Atlantic University (FAU) is seeking a Software Developer to join their Center for Online and Continuing Education in Boca Raton, FL. The role involves designing and developing information solutions to support quality online courses, focusing on programming, data visualization, and workflow automation.
Responsibilities:
• Be responsible for data visualization and weekly reporting of operational data.
• Design and program web apps that make departmental data readily available to the Executive Directors as needed.
• Serve on the development team to create and maintain COCE database and tracking tools.
• Design and program desktop apps to increase productivity and access to information as assigned.
• Develop data visualizations for reports, dashboards and projections.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned at the discretion of the Associate Executive Director of eLearning.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Master’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.
Preferred:
• Experience providing hardware and software support, troubleshooting, and end-user training.
• Experience with business analytics, data analysis, and object-oriented programming concepts.
• Experience using GitHub, AI-enabled tools, and workflow/form approval automation technologies.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Forms, Power Automate, and Power Apps.
• Experience using web conferencing and collaboration platforms, including Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
• Experience working with multiple enterprise systems, programming languages, and collaborative technology platforms.
