What is an Associate SOC?

An Associate SOC, or Security Operations Center Associate, is an entry-level cybersecurity professional responsible for monitoring and responding to security incidents within an organization's IT environment. They analyze security alerts, investigate potential threats, and escalate issues to senior security analysts when necessary. Associate SOCs play a crucial role in maintaining the organization's security posture by ensuring real-time detection and response to cyber threats. This position often serves as a starting point for a career in cybersecurity, offering hands-on experience with security tools and incident response processes.
