POSITION OVERVIEW
The Associate Site Director is a key site-level leader responsible for delivering a high-quality expanded learning program for K-8 students during the school year and summer. In partnership with site leadership, the Associate Site Director oversees daily operations, supports staff development, and ensures program implementation aligns with BGCP standards and school-day priorities. The role focuses on driving strong daily execution, coaching and developing frontline staff, and building collaborative relationships with families and school partners to ensure a safe, engaging, and outcomes-driven environment for students.

Through consistent leadership and accountability, the Associate Site Director contributes to high program quality and strong student outcomes. The Associate Site Director reports to the Site Director.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive Day-to-Day Program Operations 

  • Manage the logistical aspects of program day (maintain daily schedules) 
  • Communicate with students and caregivers regarding enrollment, attendance, and incident/accident reports as needed 

Ensure Program Implementation & Fidelity 

  • Collaborate with site director to create and enforce clear expectations and standards of excellence for students and staff 
  • Collaborate with site director to create and enforce daily "deliverables" or tasks for staff to complete each day that contribute to the overall success of program 
  • Create system for turning in and reviewing staff lesson plans 

Staff Coaching & Observation 

  • Conduct weekly or bi-weekly observation of staff during programming 
  • Facilitate weekly or bi-weekly 1v1 meetings with YPLs for assessing and evaluating performance, providing constructive feedback, and implementing performance improvement plans when necessary 
  • Collaborate with instructional coach and site leader to determine weekly program goals and focuses 

Team Motivation 

  • Create and maintain systems for staff recognition & celebration 
  • Collaborate with site leader to plan staff outings/socials 
  • Collaborate with site team to create member incentive & recognition system(s) 
  • Perform additional relevant duties as assigned 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience; 5 years of relevant experience 
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of successful experience in an educational, expanded learning, or youth development setting
  • Experience working with diverse youth populations and communities
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, coach, and develop staff through positive reinforcement and clear accountability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, families, school partners, and colleagues
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and navigate a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Spanish language proficiency preferred

  • Supervision & Staff Development: Ability to effectively supervise program staff. Providing ongoing coaching and support to ensure staff are well-equipped to work with youth 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; and some stooping, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching overhead, crouching, squatting, and/or crawling. The role also requires significant fine finger dexterity and near vision acuity. The position may occasionally involve lifting or carrying objects up to 25 pounds. Generally, the job requires approximately 20% sitting and 80% walking or standing. The work environment noise level is typically moderate but may occasionally be louder. All requirements are subject to reasonable accommodations.

Monday - Friday 10:00am - 7:00pm

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Employment Status: Full-Time, Exempt
  • Pay Range: $70,304-$75,000, depending on experience (DOE)
  • Health Benefits: 
    • Full-Time Employees: BGCP covers 100% of medical, dental, and vision premiums; 50% for dependents
  • Retirement Benefits: BGCP offers contributions to the 401(k) plan
  • Comprehensive Paid Time-Off Policy, along with additional benefits
  • Sick Time: Full-time employees are front-loaded 40 hours of paid sick time annually
