Job description

Purpose and Impact: The Geospatial Enterprise Open Data Store (GEODS) contract provides integration, design, development, and sustainment for data services in support of the Federal Government. The Product Manager is responsible for overseeing the development of products from development to operational deployment, guiding Scrum Masters and developers through the requirements process and contributing to a robust, organized Backlog and streamlined Roadmap for the GEODS program. Work Schedule: Day shift, Monday through Friday. Essential Responsibilities: As a GEODS Product Manager, you will serve as a bridge between the government and one or more Scrum teams, advancing the vision and execution of the GEODS program by completing the following tasks: * Backlog Management * Prioritize work for one or more Scrum teams, maintaining the team Backlog in Jira and adding to it as feedback is received * Assist one or more Scrum teams in developing user stories and acceptance criteria that are clearly understood by developers * Review and accept completed work, ensuring it meets defined acceptance criteria * Ensure team is always working on highest value approved priorities while avoiding scope creep * Requirements Development * Work closely with government to bring new efforts through the requirements process * Assist Chief Architect and Chief Engineer in Roadmap development, defining vision for future years of the program * Project Management and Execution * Oversee projects to ensure successful completion and adherence to timelines * Monitor project progress and identify potential issues alongside team Scrum Master * Provide contract and government leadership visibility into team progress and impediments, to include reporting (CDRLs, KPIs, etc.) Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands: Office environment, light physical demands, must have ability to attend to mental tasks for the duration of the work day. Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities): * Ability to clearly communicate, verbally and in writing, complex technical challenges and obstacles in a clear and direct manner * Previous experience supervising a team of developers and engineers in delivering new and updated software interfaces * Previous experience serving as a Product Owner or Product Manager * Experience utilizing SAFe or similar Agile methodologies * Experience with UI/UX testing & feedback incorporation/prioritization Security Clearance Required: * Active TS/SCI Poly Minimum Education: * Master's degree with 8 years' experience, Bachelor's degree with 12 years' experience, Associates degree with 20 years' experience, or a minimum of 25 years' experience, in relevant field Minimum Years of Experience: * Master's degree with 8 years' experience, Bachelor's degree with 12 years' experience, Associates degree with 20 years' experience, or a minimum of 25 years' experience, in relevant field Preferred Qualifications: * Database engineering experience * Strong grasp of Atlassian tool suite, specifically Confluence and Jira * Certified Scrum Product Owner or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Certification * AWS cloud experience and certification(s) * Familiarity with NGA requirements process, to include RFCs #javelin This position is not designated as a safety sensitive position.
