Job Overview

As a Method Development Research Scientist (Large Molecule) for our Bioanalysis team at the Laval location, you will act as a Study Director responsible for the conduct of all analytical and/or bioanalytical studies using LC-MS/MS, HPLC-UV or any other analytical detection method, in compliance with the Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) Regulations of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development Principles and the US Food and Drug Administration (21 CFR Part 58 and subsequent amendments).

In this role, primary responsibilities include:

  • Developing workflows and assays for the analysis of proteins, peptides, and their post-translational modifications across a variety of biological matrices;
  • Designing and executing laboratory experiments, including sample preparation, mass spectrometry analysis, and data interpretation;
  • Presenting complex datasets in a clear and concise manner to internal teams, clients, and stakeholders;
  • Training Associate Scientists and Analysts on sample preparation procedures and analytical techniques;
  • Preparing, reviewing, and maintaining analytical procedures;
  • Providing scientific recommendations to improve platform performance and data quality;
  • Evaluating and implementing new technologies, tools, and reagents to enhance analytical capabilities and operational efficiency.
Key Elements

We are looking for the following minimum qualifications for this role:

  • Master degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or any other related field with at least 2 to 3 years’ experience in a Scientific position;
  • PhD degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or any other related field;
  • Significant experience using LC-MS/MS and HPLC-UV with chromatographic data system;
  • Very efficient time management;
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.

 

Role Specific Information:

 

  • Location: 445 Boul. Armand-Frappier, Laval, QC, H7V 4B3;
  • Transportation: Free parking. Near the Montmorency Subway. Electric vehicle charging station;
  • Annual bonus based on performance;
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday daytime;
  • Permanent position as of the hiring, full-time 37.5hrs per week.
