Job description

The Registered Nurse at La Posada provides high quality nursing services to community residents based on each resident’s individual service plan and physician’s orders.  Responsible for the delivery of quality care by encouraging independence and ensuring each resident’s physical, social, cultural, and intellectual well-being.  

Schedule: Full Time | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Pay Range: $35/hr - $ 46/hr


Paid Vacation / Sick Time /  7 Paid Holidays

What will I do every day?

  • You will monitor residents’ well-being in a general way and report any changes in condition
  • Effectively supervise departmental operations on a day-to-day basis
  • Assess residents to identify their physical, psycho social and environmental needs
  • Communicate, identify, report and document problems
  • Demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures and respond appropriately
  • Identify and recommend other disciplines needed for quality care of the resident
  • Document evaluation f nursing interventions including resident response
  • Assess resident and staff knowledge base of disease process, treatment regimen and/or medication administration and assist with care plans
  • Provide resident care activities under the direction of the Assisted Living Director
  • Assist with Medication Management Program
  • Participate in the Assisted Living performance improvement process
  • Present required new hire training and ongoing skills training for associates
  • As well as perform other related duties as required

What will I need to be successful in this role?

  • One-year or more experience as a nurse in a senior care setting preferred
  • Assisted living and/or dementia experience preferred
  • Hands on experience with ports and Huber needles a plus
  • Experience in wound care
  • Hands on experience with Dialysis shunts a plus

Special Requirements/Certifications I may need?

  • Current active, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice
  • Graduate of an accredited RN/LVN/LPN program
