Position Purpose:

At Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, the Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit (MSICU) delivers patient care to individuals in critical condition.

What You Will Do:

  • Assume responsibility for Critical Care Patients, conducting assessments, devising care plans, and adjusting critical drips to ensure hemodynamic stability and appropriate sedation levels.

  • Attend to patients requiring advanced monitoring, heightened observation, utilization of invasive equipment, and administration of intricate medication regimens.

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate's degree in Nursing is required

  • Valid RN license in Connecticut

  • Candidates with a minimum of one year of acute inpatient nursing experience will be considered for training.

Preferred:

  • Candidates with a minimum of one year of acute inpatient nursing experience will be considered for training

  • BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)

  • ACLS certification, support available for certification post-hire.

Position Highlights:

  • Full-Time: 36 hrs/week - Night Shift

  • Rotating weekends and holidays

  • Specialty pay available for experienced nurses with one or more years of RN experience.

  • Hourly position, included in RN Step Program pay range: $36.15 to $59.95.
