Join the Get Well Clinic Team
Get Well Clinic is seeking a dependable, experienced, and patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our growing Pearland team.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys building relationships with patients, takes pride in providing excellent care, and works well in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
Medical weight management experience is strongly preferred. If you have worked with GLP-1 programs, semaglutide, tirzepatide, injection clinics, weight-loss patients, or body-composition tracking, we especially want to hear from you.
What You'll Do
As a Medical Assistant at Get Well Clinic, you'll work closely with our providers and clinical team to support both primary care and medical weight-management patients.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Rooming patients and obtaining accurate vital signs
  • Measuring and documenting weight, BMI, and body-composition results
  • Completing patient intake and preparing charts before provider visits
  • Supporting medical weight-management visits and tracking patient progress
  • Coordinating follow-up visits and helping patients stay on track with their treatment plans
  • Administering subcutaneous and intramuscular injections as ordered by the provider, including GLP-1 medications, vitamin B12, and lipotropic injections
  • Performing venipuncture and preparing laboratory specimens
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
  • Assisting with medication prior authorizations and pharmacy coordination
  • Returning patient calls and assisting with appropriate follow-up scheduling
  • Providing professional, compassionate patient education within the MA scope of practice
  • Maintaining clean, organized, fully stocked exam and treatment rooms
  • Working collaboratively with providers and team members to keep clinic operations running smoothly
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is reliable, organized, professional, and genuinely enjoys working with patients.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous Medical Assistant experience
  • Medical weight-management or weight-loss clinic experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working with GLP-1 medications or injection-based programs is highly desirable
  • Current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification
  • Comfortable administering subcutaneous and IM injections
  • Phlebotomy experience is a plus
  • Experience using an electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills
  • Comfortable communicating with pharmacies, insurance companies, and patients
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
  • Excellent communication and customer-service skills
  • Dependable attendance and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently while maintaining a warm, welcoming patient experience
